Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing the sales activity of
national geographical sales units compromised
of sales executives and distribution venders
- Responsible for achieving the sales revenue target of
the corporation
- Develop the tactical plans and activities in a
geographical market resulting in the successful
achievement of the region's sales targets
- Identify regional distribution networks, negotiate
distribution contracts and manage the vender
relations for all distribution channels
- Direct the implementation of the company's products
and marketing strategies through the management
and guidance of the organization's efforts to
educate and support the customer through the
established distribution channels
- Maintain an excellent relationship with Distributors
and Customers in order to encourage a more
focused and productive alliance with the
company
- Conduct sales meetings and insure that Sales
Executives stay informed of changes in
territories
- Develop forecasts of anticipated market sales and
submit reports of sales activity
- Analyze sales statistics to formulate policy and
assist in promoting sales
- Review market analysis to determine customer needs,
volume potential, price schedules, discount
rates - and assist marketing with the
development of sales campaigns to accommodate
goals of the company
- Prepare periodic sales reports showing volume and
future potential
- Study schedules and estimate time, cost, and labor for
completion of sales objectives
- Analyze budget, in conjunction with the Director, to
identify needs and/or reductions and also may
allocate budget funds
- Perform all personnel management activities for staff-
including recruitment, training, performance
evaluations and salary management - also
encourages professional development through job
assignments and external seminars
- Work closely with employees to provide direction/goal
setting, and ensure prompt service to customers
and distributors
Credentials / Knowledge / Skills Preferred
- BS/BA degree or equivalent required
- Strong sales background, including 5 - 7 years of
demonstrated sales management experience
- Strong planning, organizational, communication, sales
management and leadership skills required
- Prefer packaging solutions experience, coupled with a
general understanding of manufacturing and
industrial processes
