Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and direct all advertising and
promotion activities along with training
programs for the field sales force to achieve
company sales goal
- Direct all promotional activities including brochures,
catalogs, and direct mail pieces along with
conventions and exhibits and sales training
meeting
- Recruit, hire, train and manage the marketing
management function (brand managers) to ensure
sales results by discipline within prescribed
expense budgets
- Develop and implement comprehensive pricing and
packaging policies for all products
- Manage the sales support function which includes state
and local contracts and bids, correlation
preparation and sales support and field sales
automation
- Develop, coordinate, and implement inter-company sales
and marketing campaigns to ensure maximum
market share
- Plan, develop, and implement comprehensive training
programs for the field sales force
- Develop and implement direct mail and telemarketing
campaigns for sale of multimedia products to
the school market
- Coordinate and implement joint venture marketing
programs for supplemental materials
- Develop, implement and manage comprehensive marketing
campaigns for all product including domestic
campaigns, international sales, and multimedia
- Plan, implement, and manage all market research
activities for company.
- Plan and manage all marketing service activities
including distribution, packaging, state
contracts, correlations, and additional
internal requirements as they occur
Credentials / Knowledge / Skills Preferred
- B.A. degree in marketing or related subject. MBA
preferred
- 3-5 years in Marketing Management as Account Executive
or Brand Manager
- Excellent written communication/grammar skills
- Budget management and pricing philosophy experience
- Direct mail and promotional experience
- Experience in interfacing with advertising agencies
- Packaging experience is beneficial
- Market research and analysis is a must
- Formal stage type presentation skills
