Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute major end user promotions,
trade programs and new product introductions
- Maintain ongoing communication with field sales
personnel to learn about changing market conditions
- Serve as Project Manager working with Market Research,
R&D, Finance and Manufacturing
- Monitor, evaluate, and recommend pricing, basis price
changes in raw materials, competitive price changes
- Coordinate production of effective packaging, sales
materials and end user/dealer premiums
- Interact with selected advertising agencies on a
regular basis
- Develop the long range plans, and overall objectives
and strategies for the brands
- Have full P&L responsibility for brands and/or market
segments
- Manage marketing spending to achieve sales growth and
build long-term awareness in end user
- Manage product developments/improvements, pricing and
sales/distribution issues
- Have responsibility for preparing and presenting the
quarterly and annual operating plan reviews
- Continuously monitor the performance of assigned brands
using sales reports and syndicated research data
Credentials / Knowledge / Skills Preferred
- Minimum 4-5 years marketing/sales experience
- Bachelors Degree/MBA preferred
- Ability to understand and utilize syndicated research data
- Knowledge of personal care products (major competitors,
target users, industry trends)
- Strong interpersonal/communications skill; solid
analytical/quantitative skills; working knowledge of
marketing terms
- Excellent computer software (LOTUS/EXCEL and MDDS) and
project management skills
