Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementing a proactive flight and
ground safety program for the company including:
education, surveillance, investigation and follow - up
on all matters affecting the safety of the operation
or the prevention of damage to equipment or injury to
employees and contract personnel
- Develop programs for the sharing of information with
other air carriers and regulatory agencies
- Thoroughly investigate all flight and ground
incidents, ground damage, and personnel injuries to
determine causes and recommend and implement
corrective and preventative measures
- Work closely with all company departments and flight
crew members to aggressively promote safety
- Responsible for administering Flight Operations
Quality Assurance Program
Credentials / Knowledge / Skills Preferred
- Bachelors degree required
- Previous aviation safety and aviation management
experience required
- Aviation maintenance experience desired
- Must be a qualified pilot holding a B747 Type Rating,
or capable of attaining one
- Must possess strong interpersonal, analytical,
administrative and technical skills
- Must possess strong communication skills
- Must possess the leadership and professional skills
needed to command the respect of all company employees
for the importance of the safety program
