Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities                                                                 - Supervise the overall activities of the Training   Department to ensure the highest level of flight and   ground training expertise   - Select, train and oversee the activities of simulator   instructors and simulator check airmen   - Responsible for selecting, training and overseeing the   activities of company ground instructors   - Coordinate the development and implementation of the   ground and flight training programs   - Responsible for liaison with the Company FAA Principal   Operations Inspector on all training matters   - Coordinate with contractor training facilities with   regard to contractor certification, training contracts   and scheduling of events   - Responsible for developing the Training Department   budget   - With the Director of Operations, Chief Pilot and Chief   Flight Examiner, determine minimum qualifications for   flight crew new - hire candidates   - Develop and administer the Company's new - hire   screening program   - Supervise the development and delivery of all training   materials, to include scheduling of all training and   completion of training records all in compliance with   FAA and company procedures
Credentials / Knowledge / Skills Preferred                                                                 - Bachelors degree required   - Previous experience as a Director of Training at a   passenger or cargo airline (not including commuter)   - Complete familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations   - Experience with 747 - 200/400 a significant plus   - Strong leadership abilities required   - Strong verbal and written communication skills a plus
