Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities                                                                 - Responsible for playing a critical role in company's   mission to strengthen its leadership position   in the freight industry - Will be a key member of senior management with   responsibility for establishing a strong legal   function - Will provide advice and counsel regarding existing and   future business activities - Will act as chief legal counsel for company - Responsible to oversee, review and advise the company   on all material matters relating to capital   market transactions, contracts, labor matters   and SEC issues relating to the 1933 and 1934   Acts - Will establish appropriate organization structure and   legal policies keeping in mind the company's   flexibility, low cost structure and   entrepreneurial spirit are its key competitive   strengths - Responsible for identifying and satisfying company   needs in the areas of compliance, labor law and   international law - Will oversee all legal proceedings involving future   merger and acquisition activity entered into by   this aggressive growth company
Credentials / Knowledge / Skills Preferred                                                                 - JD Degree - Minimum of 15 years of progressively more responsible   experience in a law firm or large corporate   legal department - Significant business transaction experience - Well versed in contract law, capital markets and   Securities Exchange Acts - Regulatory experience obtained through interaction   with the Department of Transportation and/or   FAA - Ability to interface well with all functional areas of   the organization, as well as international   customers - Experience with international business law,   establishing compliance systems and/or   transactional work a significant plus - Airline industry knowledge would be beneficial - Should possess outstanding interpersonal, written and   verbal communication skills to contribute to   view as a senior leader or valuable team member   of management group - Must possess a level of maturity which will influence   senior leadership of a fast paced, quickly   growing, entrepreneurial environment
