Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities                                                                 - Perform managerial and technical duties relative to   design, development, programming and the   installation of third party software systems   required to support the business environment - Develop and implement long - range strategic plans   required to ensure harmony between MIS goals   and objectives and also the goals and   objectives of the company - Develop and monitor budget plans that will effectively   meet goals - Responsible for evaluating and recommending   improvements in existing and/or alternate   software systems to improve on the efficiency   of the information technology and business   environment - Ensure that all applications and Software systems will   function properly under all conditions - Responsible for creating and managing training/career   development plans for MIS personnel assigned to   his/her applications development unit - Effectively communicate with user departments and   upper management about systems development   projects by providing timely status reports and   occasional presentations - Responsible for effectively resolving problems within   functional area of responsibility - Responsible for assigning resources and providing   direction to initiate recovery procedures to   correct problems
Credentials / Knowledge / Skills Preferred                                                                 - Bachelor's degree required - Ten years of related experience/training - Ability to read and interpret computer reports and   customer orders as well as the ability to   respond to common inquiries/complaints from   customers or employees within the organization - Must be able to write correspondence which conforms to   prescribed style and format - Ability to effectively present information to upper   management and department head - Ability to apply concepts such as percentages and   discounts to practical situations - Must be able to define problems, collect data,   establish facts and draw valid conclusions
