· Reports directly to the Director of Career Development, with a functional reporting line into the Vice President of Human Resources |
|
Job Overview & Specific Responsibilities: |
|
· Be the driver for establishing the company’s proactiveness with respect to EEO and AA issues · Sets Company’s corporate objectives with respect to EEO and AA issues · Raise awareness of EEO and AA issues (US specific, worldwide in general) · Ensure compliance with Federal and State legal requirements |
|
· Responsible for resolution of all EEO issues · Establish AA goals for Corporate staff and US operations, monitor compliance and progress on a quarterly basis, and react accordingly · Maintains statistics necessary to monitor the effectiveness of the programs and alerts top management to difficulties encountered in attaining and maintaining compliance with established policies · Company (Corporate and US Operations) focal point for all EEOC and AA matters, and ensure compliance for same · Establish and coordinate publication of Corporate Polices regarding EEO and AA issues · Company advisor, along with Corporate Legal Counsel, for all US employment issues · Advise and consent to all terminations within the Corporate and US Operations · Develop and maintain awareness of Managers and Executives in regards to EEOC / AA matters, goals and recent court decisions · Review / Develop the company’s EEO’s Policy and Procedures along with enforcement of same · Communicates policies and programs to employees, top management, and where required public and government agencies |

· Analyze the loss of any and all minorities / females to better understand the root cause for the resignation / termination / release of the individual. To be used to establish or not any link to potential discriminatory practices |

Become personally involved with all complaints,
allegations of the Hostile Environment and Discrimination Policy. This will
include rig site visits within 24 hours upon notification of the incident · May direct processing of complaints and company defense before administrative or judicial proceedings |
|
· Establish Company training requirements for EEO issues. This should include Management, Supervisory, Non Supervisory and Offshore personnel · Identify relevant training courses / matrix, establish and manage training schedule for Corporate and US Operations. This will detail requirements by job category / responsibilities |
|
· Run an annual Equal Pay Act Audit on required populations, resulting in a report and action plan. Quarterly status of same will be required to record progress and react accordingly |
|
· Liaise with peers within the company to ensure that recruiting efforts involving 3rd parties are in compliance with EEO |
|
· Visit each offshore rig installation at least once a year, and all shore based offices at least twice a year |
