Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities                                                                 - Responsible for the month-end financial closing - Responsible for preparing the monthly closing schedule - Responsible for managing the closing process including   journal entry assignments and account   reconciliation of responsibilities - Prepare financial analysis and account variance   explanations - Prepare monthly internal financial statements and   report packages - Responsible for the functional work areas of Accounts   Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll - Establish accounting policy and procedures at the   direction of the VP and Controller - Responsible for adequately staffing positions in   accordance with company and E.E.O.C. guidelines - Ensure that staff is adequately trained and supervised - Responsible for assisting the Director Accounting in   the preparation of S.E.C. debt, equity and   other regulatory filings including covenant   maintenance - Control and maintain the chart of accounts for the   company - Coordinate the utilization and administration of the   SAP accounting system for the accounting and   finance department
Credentials / Knowledge / Skills Preferred                                                                 - B.S. in Accounting, MSA preferred - CPA required - Strong experience in the monthly financial closing   process including the preparation of internal   financial statements utilizing an SAP/R3   financial and accounting package - Must possess excellent written and oral communication   skills - Excellent people skills with the ability to motivate   and lead people in a time-sensitive environment - High attention to detail and accuracy required - Must have strong organizational skills - Must be able to travel as required
