Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Manage dynamic engagement teams that serve the diverse
real estate needs of the clients
- Responsible for working on projects such as debt
restructuring, portfolio analysis, troubled -
asset workouts, business acquisitions, land
development, and organizational realignment
- Responsible for making qualitative judgements through
the steps of the audit procedure
- Communicate the objectives of an audit, planned other
services, and the staff's role in audit and
real estate issues
- Remain abreast of general business and economic
developments and demonstrate a broader
understanding of the client's business and
industry by recognizing business trends as well
as emerging technical developments
- Serve as a trusted business advisor by providing the
client with advice related to real estate
issues
- Prepare memoranda and other working papers and other
documents in conjunction with serving the
client
- Execute audit procedures in complex, judgmental and/or
specialized areas
- Analyze evidence, reach conclusions, identify issues
and propose strategies for complex, judgmental
issues; and also make decisions related to
moderately complex issues with regard to the
real estate audit procedures executed.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to engagement team
members and client management
- Provide guidance to assist staff in designing and
implementing individual development plans
- Manage audit engagements - including time management,
scheduling and assigning work and monitoring
the progress of audit field work
Credentials / Knowledge / Skills Preferred
- Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred
- Public Accounting experience required
- CPA certification or actively preparing to achieve CPA
certification
- Real Estate experience and a desire to stay focused on
Real Estate required
- Strong interpersonal skills a must
