Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- The financial manager will be responsible for the
implementation of consistent accounting and
reporting systems for US equity investments in
non domestic entities. The financial manager
will interface with the Meadowlands Accounting
Group to insure that reporting meets operating
needs. This includes:
- Develop and maintain operational policies and
procedures with respect to accounting functions
including accounts payable, accounts
receivable, cash, sales and purchases.
- Implement and maintain an efficient flow of accounting
information for general ledger processing and
financial statement reporting.
- Review unusual transactions for financial statement
impact.
- Review and analyze the reasonableness of gross profit
margins on product sales transactions.
- Review the sales tax impact on product sales invoices
in order to accurately record liability.
- Review all capital and operating lease transactions
for financial reasonableness of specific
covenants and repayment terms, prior to
acceptance.
- Review all loan agreements in order to determine the
reasonableness of specific covenants and
repayment terms, prior to acceptance.
- Monitor cash flow and potential investment
opportunities.
- Coordinate and/oversee the preparation of annual and
multi-year Financial Plans as well as cash
management planning.
- Responsible for financial analysis and reporting of
variance from prior year and plan.
- Act as a resource for pursuit teams. Advise, as
appropriate, on ways to optimize profit.
- Coordinate appropriate funds transfers.
- Execute requests for ad hoc reports and directs or
performs special projects.
- Assist in preparation of and execution of firm audits.
- Interface with related firms accounting functions to
resolve problems or issues.
Credentials / Knowledge / Skills Preferred
- Familiarity with accounting conventions for value
added resellers.
- Limited travel
- Four year degree
- Five years relevant experience
