Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Researches and analyzes data such as customer design
proposals and specifications to determine
feasibility of design or application
- Designs products such as yokes, components for
drive shafts, axles and transmissions.
- Evaluates purchased components, including cross &
bearing kits (U-Joints) to insure they meet
company specifications as well as recommended
design changes to meet specific requirements.
- Designs new products applicable to business.
- Control expenditures within limitations of projected
budget.
- Set up test cells to evaluate the companies products
and designs as well as competitors products.
- Perform application engineering function as well as
failure analysis for product line.
Credentials / Knowledge / Skills Preferred
- Travel Requirements Approximately 10% travel to work
with customers on designs and preform failure
analysis.
- Education and/or Experience Mechanical Engineering
Degree; five years applicable experience; and
finite analysis
- There is a possibility that this position could have
supervisory responsibilities. It will depend on
the candidates and there supervisory
background.
